By a vote of three for and two against, the Pima County Board of Supervisors voted to deploy 20 photo radar cameras in Pima County. Fines start at $250 dollars…absolutely ridiculous!
Meet the heroes and zeros…
Ann Day, District 1
Ann Day Voted against the Photo Radar System. She should be praised for her leadership and guidance.
Ray Carroll, District 4
Ray Carroll also voted against the camera system. His statements were thoughful and on target.
Now for the BIG ZERO’S…
Sharon Bronson, District 3
Well…I don’t think we can expect much from her. Ms. Bronson voted for Photo Radar. I think she was just following the rest of the sheep. She really didn’t say much of anything.
Ramón Valadez, District 2
Mr. Valadez was actually quoted as saying “While I understand and have some empathy towards the right of speeders to speed, the truth is we have a responsibility on the board to look at the overall safety of our community”. I don’t think he appreciates how frustrated the public really is.
Richard Elías, Chairman, District 5
The leader of the pack. I couldn’t figure out if he was for or against anything, when push came to shove, he voted for the camera system.
We all know that driving is a privilege; Ms. Bronson, Mr. Elias, Mr. Valadez, so are your jobs. These people need to be voted out of office. We will be keeping a close eye on these individuals.
